There will be three vacant positions on the Mt. Pleasant Public Schools Board of Education to be filled on November 4, 2008.
- · One – Two Year Term
- · Two – Four Year Terms
Petitions may be picked up at Mt. Pleasant Public Schools’ Central Office located at 720 N. Kinney Ave., Mt. Pleasant (775-2301).
Deadline for candidates to file is August 12, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall, 401 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant.

Mr. Baseball Honor
Mt. Pleasant High School senior baseball players Tyler Mills and William Arnold have been awarded the honor of Mr. Basebaeball given by the Michigan High School Baseball coaches Association to the best player in the state.
After the the Division 2 state finals loss to Dearborn Divine Child, Tyler Mills and William Arnold learned they had been chosen to be co-recipiants of this years Mr. Baseball honor. It is the first time the Mr. Baseball honor has been given to a Mt. Pleasant baseball player.
Both Arnold and Mills agree that everyone on the team works hard at what they do, and these awards wouldn't be possible without the whole team.
